There is a website called www.couchsurfing.com and it’s a group of people around the entire world that will let you stay at their house a night or two. So if you had a car you’d be set. That’s the part that would require money…gas and food and whatnot. But not much.

Also isecard.com will be helpful. It’s an identification for students [or after your senior year...it's valid for a year] that places all around the world recognize and it gets you discounts to all kinds of things like hotels and food.

I’m going on a 3 week long roadtrip with 3 of my friends at the end of this school year and we’ve been doing a TON of research so I’m using both of those sites.

Oh couchsurfing sounds SUPER unsafe but if you look at it it really isn’t. They have a bunch of identification things that you have to do and people who have stayed with others before can vouch for people and if you don’t reckon someone looks credible you don’t have to stay with them or anything…if you look at it it will make you alot less uncomfortable if you reckon it’s a horrible thought. You have to be 18 to sign up though.
