Chances are if you’re any kind of internet user at all, you have landed on one at least once during a search session. That’s how prevalent they have become.


What is a blog? It’s is a chronological record of entries with the most current entry being the first displayed. They are used to rant, rave, promote and sell. There are political blogs, travel blogs, fashion blogs, business blogs and personal blogs. It’s basically a form of participatory journalism where the subject matter can be about anything. The biggest differentiator in the blog arena today is the quality and correctness of content.


How well is this blog connected to the source of information they purport to know about? Is this a reliable source of information or is a watered down version of facts derived from other watered down sites. With the ability of most anybody to blog these days, it is very easy for someone to simply log onto a site and begin a tirade that may be rooted in fiction or fantasy. How will you know which is which? Using some common sense when interacting with a blog can avoid getting taken in by some bad information.

Yes, “blog” is a peculiar word, conjuring visions of mosquito-infested swamps, and you can’t imagine why people would be eager to get more visitors to theirs.

But eager they are. In spite of the rather unfortunate name, blogs are the hottest things in communication since cell phones. Blogs are websites on which almost anybody can post information on almost any topic as often as they like. Blogs can be devoted to a single factual topic, or they can be the equivalent of personal diaries in which people record their private thoughts and observations about the world. The contents of a blog are limited only by the imagination of the blog’s creator, or “author”.

If you find the thought of your own blog appealing, and have an Internet-connected computer, here are some suggestions to help you both get a blog going and build an audience with whom you can share it:

First, choose a topic for your blog on which you will enjoy communicating, and prepare your material. You opinions on a subject are fine, as long as they are based on some underlying. There are always going to be those who know as much, about a topic as you, and if you want a credible blog, you need to be able to back up your statements.

Add some humor and personal experiences to your topic if you can. Writing a travel blog about places you have actually been, and about colorful locals whom you actually encountered, will make much better reading than just posting facts and figures picked up from travel sites and TV shows. Offer material which will appeal to both novice travelers–like how to avoid pickpockets–and more seasoned ones–like the best undiscovered attractions in a specific destination.

Every so often, say, at the end of each month, archive your existing blog posts. Your blog editor will let you do this in a less than a minute. The entries will still be available for new blog readers who want to catch up, or those who want to reference your earlier writings. And list keywords for your archived work so that new traffic will be able to find its way to you.

Finally, make sure your blog is professionally presented. You have a spell checker, so use it. Proof-read your copy and correct any grammar or punctuation errors before you post your work. If you’re not sure whether you are using a word properly, get help from an online dictionary. Respect your readers as intelligent, well-informed people who could just as easily spend their time elsewhere.

These suggestions may make your entry into the world of blogging more successful, but it’s up to you to commit to building and keeping an audience.

Hey, you’re out on trips around the world, why not share your experiences. Tell people what you did, the places he visited, experiences, travel and share their photos to let others know his thoughts on where he went. You might think not much of a writer, but it is not as important as being able to passion that reflect their time in places that were or past.

What people are looking for true stories of travelers who have visited the places that have been or are thinking of going and if you’re like me that enjoy reading about other travel.

Do not worry if you’ve never created a blog before it’s too easy to do and there is little information on the Internet to help you and guide you through the steps.

First, you have to do is to join a blog with a blogging service like Blogger or Live Journal. Register your blog with Google Adsense ads, including appropriate place in your blog. Each time someone clicks on one of the ads quickly, you just won some money from Google. It’s easy!

While you’re there, why not start some other posts on things we know. Should not be limited to travel. The more blogs you have put in place, the more money you can generate and the more you can continue to travel and be away from the discharge of clerical 5.9

One way to encourage traffic to your blog is that in the forums that are relevant to their subject and to leave a comment on the blogs of others.

A weblog (or simply blog) is a website that ‘publishes’ or features articles (which are called ‘blog posts’, ‘posts’, or ‘entries’), written by an individual or a group that make use of any or a combination of straight texts, photographs or images (photo blog), video (video blog), audio files (audio blog,) and hyperlinks. Usually presented and arranged in reverse chronological order, blogs are essentially used for online journal or a web diary, content management system and online publishing platform. A typical blog has the following components:

 

· Post date -the date and time of the blog entry · Category – the category that the blog belongs to · Title – the title of the blog · Main body – the main content of the blog · RSS and track back – links the blog back from other sites · Comments – commentaries that are added by readers · Permalinks – the URL of the full article · Other optional items – calendar, archives, blog rolls, and add-ons or plug-ins A blog can also have a footer, usually found at the bottom of the blog, that shows the post date, the author, the category, and the ‘stats’ ( number of comments).

 

There are numerous types of blogs: 1. Political blog – on news, politics, activism, and other issue based blogs (such as campaigning). 2. Personal blog – also known as online diary that may include an individual’s day-to-day experience, complaints, poems, and illicit thoughts, and communications between friends. 3. Topical blog – with focus either on a particular niche (function or position) that is usually technical in nature or a local information.
