European Escapade Trafalgar Tours – 5
a great day to travel from Amsterdam to Offenbach (Frankfurt) through Arnhem with his moving story of courage and tragedy towards the end of World War II. Lunch in the Old Town and Cologne, with one of the great cathedrals of Europe built over 600 years, which houses the remains of the Magi. highlight of the evening was a beautiful trip along a scenic and historic section of the river Rhine in the picturesque Boppard. Where we board a cruise ship on the Rhine for a welcome drink and a guided cruise on the river of St Goar and Lorely rock.
After two nights in Amsterdam, we headed to Germany today. It’s a beautiful trip through the Netherlands in Arnhem Utrecht followed. This is one of the most tragic events of the last part of World War II when the Allies was an important bridge failed. The events led to a movie and is still remembered by many of today’s tragic circumstances and acts of courage by many. One of the commanders described the bridge as “A Bridge Too Far.” Shortly after we reached the city’s historical financial and Cologne (Köln in Germany). On the way, there is an opportunity to discuss many aspects of Germany and the industrial heart of the country is to drive through. Cologne is famous for many things, 4711 Water of Cologne, the great cathedral, and the bombing of World War II. Although not always known by the Berliners say, knowledge of rings, many of whom follow my advice to deal with. As many of our travelers of the youngest countries is difficult for many to conceptualize the fact that the building could have more than 600 years to build. We have the best chance for a photo of the church across the Rhine, 5 minutes before arriving at a party. It is also amazing to think that after 90% of the city was destroyed by bombing during the war the cathedral was almost intact. After lunch, we went to Boppard. Another car is very beautiful and interesting. It is always interesting to see people’s reactions when we arrived at one of the famous German motorways have no speed limit. Cars can reach speeds well in excess of 150 mph. Soon we came to Bonn and here gives me the opportunity to talk about the division of Germany after the Second World War, the Berlin blockade and the reunification of Germany. Now comes the Rhine at Koblenz and here we follow the river to see some of the most beautiful castles I speak to the famous vineyards of the Rhine wines. Boppard is our destiny, where we board our cruise on the Rhine river for a river cruise from St Goar and Lorely rock. castles along the way, it is amazing how fast time goes and how it’s time to relax. St Goar Earth after seeing the Rock Lorely we were with the great river from its course in the way we Rhudesheim in the way of Offenbach and the hotel. Dinner is included at the hotel tonight.
